This Generation is an autobiographical project, developed from one of my class exercises at the Victorian College of the Arts, when I was prompted to ask the question: “What would you say to your younger self if you were ever to meet them?” This short animation is a personal interpretation, of my father's answer to that question.
The film was primarily animated on paper, using traditional media such as pastel and ink, shot on camera, digitally compiled. I proposed for a screen-printing inspired visual and embraced the randomness and imperfection of the style.
